    Combining climatic conditions organically with plant growing by using methods of principal component analysis and fuzzy set theory, eight kinds of agroclimatic suitability and three kinds of agroclimatic indices are established in this paper to evaluate the agroclimatic resources of the south subtropics in Fujian Province objectively and quantitatively.

    The Lechang Gorge hydropower station will be built at middleupper course of Wushui river, north of Lechang county. The stability of the bankside of Lechang Gorge is very important, because it decide whether the hydropower station will be built and where the dam will be built. In order to determine the activity of some bankside of Lechang Gorge,Four samples were got from two structure units which someone call landslide and use the thermoluminescence chronology to date their activity. Two samples of Songshanzi are debris which are in the same structural plane.Two samples of Banling are sandy clay which are in the same structural plane but this two samples have striation in two different direction.The result indicate that the last activity of the structural plane in Songshanzi is about 20000 a.BP, the last activity of the structural plane along the bed direction in Banling is about 13940a.BP, and about 19500 a.BP alone the bed direction vertically. They are stable from that time. Also the possibility using the thermoluminescence chronology to determine the activity of structural plane was discussed.

    In this paper, on the base of the climate data during 1951-1980, the characteristics of precipitation-climate of Guangdong are analysed. It shows that the distribution of precipitation of Guangdong in time and space are not well-distributed. There are three biggest centres -Yangjiang-Doumen;the second one is in Haifeng-Lufeng-Puning and the third one is near Fogang-Qingyuan. The distribution of days of precipitation is getting less and less from north to south, but there is oae bigger independent centre in Enping.In general,the seasonal distribution of precipitations are most,also strongest in summer more in spring arrd less in winter.The annual variability of precipitation is between 10% to 20%.At last,the causes of formation of the precipitation in Guangdong are analysed and are considered that they are mainly caused by the seasonal migration of the large weather system and the effect of landform.

    The tombolo in Gangkou is the coastal sandy foil which developed from a modern seafacies sediment, that is taken as the parent-niaterial.. The coastal sandy soil consists of the high arid sandy soil, the fixed sandy soil. and seasonal water-logged sandy soil.The Casuarina is growing;yell in the environment of seashore sandy soil. It improves the soil and increases the adaptability of the plant s growth.But. the ecological conditions of Casuarina itself change from dominant position into inferiors position. In order to bring the dominant position of Casuarina into play, it is an effective way to develop afforestation by applying fertilizer that adapts the ecological system.

    Through a long-term field investigations for soil, it is discovered that the regularity of having taken the mountain meadow soil as the uppest layer structure of the soil's vertical belt of Guangxi is inexistent in fact. It's considered by author that the mountain meadow soil in Guangxi,which is situated on a certain elevation (1,000-1,400m) and specific landform (platform of mountain and intermountain basin),and which grows up the meadow vegetation after man-made-destroyed forest, is a type of regional soil.In each middle and low mountain,it has a distribution in vertical soil belt between mountain yellow soil and mountain podzolized yellow soil.The parent material of the soil is mainly residual-cumulate deposit of weathering sandstone and shale.It has the characteristics of apparent humification process and certain extent oxidation-reduction process in its soil forming process.The differences among each soil layer on the profile are not quite evident. With natural rich fertility,the soil may suit for farming and animal husbandry in the maintain areas,if the flood defence and drainage installations are built well.

    Magnoliaceae which possesses about 15 genuses 240 specieses all over the world, mostly distribute in the southeast of Asia and North America.In this paper,the intercontinental distribution of Magnoliaceae between Asia and America,and the close relationship between Magnoliaceae and continental drift are discussed.

    Zhaoqing Municipality is situated in the mid-west of Guangdong Province and located in the strategic pass of Guangdong and Guangxi. There are plentiful tourism resources along Xijiang River in Zhaoqing Municipality.From Qiaotou of Huaiji and Fengkai in the northwest to Yunfu and Longshan of Xinxing in the southeast,they are linked by Xijiang River in the middle and shaped like "S",forming 5 regions and 1 line, every one of them has its peculiarity.By analysing its superiorities(on resources,traffic,geographical position and environment),situation and existing problem,as well as tourism market statistics,the author proposes to give priority to the development of the sightseeing tourism of Star Lake and religion tourism at first,then let it promote the development of other tourism spots,and finally build it into a comprehensive tourism area,and at the same time, to take the Zhaoqing region as the centre and build the zone into a many round-way tourism network.

    With the advantages of convenient transport,prosperous economy,high culture level and advanced technology,to open coastal area plays an important role in promoting the socialist modern construction of our country and in helping the development of the inland economy-But there are some disadvatages in coastal area, such as dense population, poor in natural resources,shortage of energy. The interior, however, just has an advantage in natural resources which the coastal area hasri t. So, the coastal area must be supported by the interior,develop the economic association, correctly deal with the relationship between the two areas,promot them to cooperate hand in hand, make best use of the advantages and by-pass the disadvantages.Then, our cause of opening to the outside world can succeed.

    Longhu district in Shantou SEZ has developed into a comprehensive Special Economic Zone which includes industry, agriculture, commerce, real estate and tourism.The present land of utilization in Longhu district can be divided into 3 groups, 13 types and 38 subtypes.According to the problems of land utilization,the following suggestions are put for word:(1)to make a full use of land;(2)to strengthen land management;(3) to limit the area used by rural residence;(4)to establish a model of base of foreign-oriented agricultural products.

    In this paper, the land of Longhu district in Shantou Special Economic Zone is classified into 6 suitable types, 17 quality gradations according to the analysis of natural environmental conditions.It provides some scientific bases for rational land plan and land utilization.The 6 types of land use are Type Ⅰ,which is suitable for various urban buildings, Type Ⅱ,which is suitable for high altitude building, Type Ⅲ,which is suitable for middle altitude building,Type Ⅳ,which is suitable for low altitude building, Type Ⅴ,which is inferior for urban buildings,Type Ⅵ,which is suitable for sight-seeing. According to quality of natural environment,each type of land use is graded further into several gradations by gauging remark method.

    The present characteristics,the forming and developing tendency,and the integral model in the south of Fujian Province are discussed in this paper. The present characteristics of coastal harbours of south Fujian Province could be summed up as follows:the quantity of harbours is relatively large and they are well distributed,but the total scale of harbours is still relatively small;the volume of imported goods is more than the exported goods and that of foreign trade occupies a certain proportion; the proportion of the volume of transported goods between inside and outside of south Fujian is nearly same;the passenger s shipping route and the numbers of passenger transported are not so enough.Because of identical hinterland,close transport connection,and objective demand for mutual coordination and concert construction,the coastal harbours of south Fujian province has formed an united system of harbours which have a certain administrative levels and regional structure by supplement each other. The developing tendency and integral model of this system are multiple administrative levels of structure of rank, multiple functions and character, outside-sea-oriented consistency,various objects within a concrete region and multiple groups of regional integral model.
